Hair today, gone tomorrow
It's starting to fall out, exactly on schedule. They told me it would happen about 14 days after my first chemo infusion, and that is tomorrow. My 5yo girl is the most vocal opponent to the whole hair loss thing. I have been talking about it to all of my kids so it won't be as much of a shock to them, and they are all doing ok about it. But she DOESN'T like it. She told me that when my hair falls out, "you can't go anywhere. You can't go to my school or the grocery store or to church. You have to stay in your bed." I took her with me to look at wigs. I took all the kids. She said I needed to get a wig that is exactly like my hair. So I tried on several wigs that were pretty close to what I have now. Fairly short, dark brown with some gray. She said no, no, no to every one that I tried. It was exasperating. Then my older daughter asked if she could try on a long blonde wig. It's just like barbie hair. I tried it on, too just for fun and asked little miss 5 what she thought. She looked at me for a few seconds, then gave me the thumbs up. So I got it. It's fun! My kids all think it's a crack up, except for little miss 5. She thinks I look like a princess.
